"Remembrance" Downy Doxey-Marshall artist

Some works of art are finished by one hand — Remembrance was completed by two, across time.

This painting began as a drawing in the personal sketchbook of artist Robert L. Marshall, left unfinished and unpainted. After his passing, Downy Doxey-Marshall — guided by the color notes and descriptions he left behind — brought the work to life with her brush, honoring his vision while adding her own tender care. The result is a rare collaboration between two artists, one a tribute to the other.

Remembrance is more than a painting. It is an act of love, a bridge between generations, and a testament to the enduring power of art to carry memory forward.  This image is part of Robert L. Marshall's Tabernacle series and depicts the importance and reverence of the Sacrament.
